CESI and NIADA Capture Service Users’ Experience During Lockdown (November 2020)

CESI works with Northern Ireland Alcohol and Drug Alliance to capture service users’ experience during lockdown

CESI is delighted to have worked with NIADA to investigate how COVID-19 affected the substance use behaviour and trends of a range of service users during the early stages of lockdown. This report provides a snapshot of the state of play of the impact of COVID-19 on substance use patterns during the early stages of the pandemic.

NIADA’s services users experience and feedback, documented in this report, provides important information on the types of support needed to help people cope during lockdown – of which, consistent contact with drug and alcohol services and easier access to mental health and primary care services were key.
