CESI PhD student Ewan MacRae has successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled: An Investigation of teacher knowledge of and engagement with educational evidence.

 

Ewan's doctoral research involved teachers of Chemistry in secondary schools in England, and investigated their knowledge of educational evidence.

 

His examiners were Professor Sarah Miller (internal) and Professor Bronwen Maxwell (external), Sheffield Hallam University. The Chair was Dr Alison MacKenzie.

 

His supervisors were: Dr Liam O'Hare (1st), Dr Karen Kerr (2nd) and Dr Laura Dunne (3rd)

 

Ewan passed with minor corrections.
