CESI Fellows Dr Karen Galway and Dr Liam O'Hare are part of a team which has been successfully awarded funding from NIHR [£1.5m] to explore the impact of community led organisation on health and wellbeing.
A new fully funded PhD opportunity is available working with CESI Fellows Dr Karen Galway (School of Nursing and Midwifery) and Dr Liam O’Hare (School of Social Sciences Education and Social Work).
The CESI Innovation Zones team has been working alongside Greater Shankill Partnership’s Children and Young People Zone in their long-term commitment to provide bespoke wrap around support to the children and young people of the Shankill community.
On 12th June 2019 school children participating in the Crescendo music programme performed at the Ulster Hall with the Ulster Orchestra to showcase their progress.
On 13 June 2018, over 300 school pupils, from the Shankill and Colin communities, took to the stage of The Ulster Hall to perform alongside the Ulster Orchestra. This performance celebrated the climax of the Crescendo programme.
