Project Management

Day-to-day Management

The day-to-day management of CIRB is undertaken by the Project Team as headed by Dr. Catherine McGavigan (Project Manager). The Project Manager and Field Research Technicians work directly with the staff of multiple partner organisations, including Inland Fisheries Ireland, the Rivers and Fisheries Trusts Scotland and the School of Environmental Sciences, University of Ulster. In addition, the Project Team work closely with local government agencies and councils.

Overseeing the day-to-day running of the project is a Management Committee, made up of the leaders of each of the project partners, which is responsible for the progress and timely achievement of set goals. This committee meets formally every six months.

CIRB Steering Committee

The CIRB Steering Committee consists of key stakeholders whose organisations have an association or interest in the success of the project. Organisations represented include Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Loughs Agency, Rivers Agency, Eastern Fisheries Board and multiple members belonging to councils located within the trial catchment areas.
