International symposium to celebrate 400 years of the King James Bible
This international symposium was held on Monday, 24th October 2011 at Union Theological College. The keynote speakers were Philip Towner from the Nida Institute for Biblical Scholarship, American Bible Society, with a talk on The King James Bible and its Impact on English-Speaking Culture and Christiane Nord, University of Magdeburg, who spoke on Communicating Otherness: A Functional Approach to Bible Translation
This very successful event was supported by the QUB Religious Studies Research Forum.
