Accreditation
What is Accreditation?
Accreditation offers students and employers a mark of quality assurance that the school and the programmes it offers meet national and international standards. Accredited degree programmes help make students aware that such professional recognition is available to them and provide them with their first steps towards gaining professional recognition, which will help them to progress in their careers.
QMS Business School Accreditation
QMS is delighted to have been awarded EQUIS, AMBA and SBC accreditation in 2021. These accreditations not only provide our students with a guarantee that they are receiving top quality education, but also present global networking and career opportunities.

In April 2021, Queen’s Management School was awarded the prestigious and internationally recognised EQUIS accreditation for management and business schools.
EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. It is managed and run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and its fundamental objective, linked to the mission of the EFMD, is to raise the standard of management education worldwide.

The School has been awarded AMBA accreditation in November 2021. The Association of MBAs is a British-based organisation which concentrates specifically on MBA programmes. AMBA accreditation denotes the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. MBA students and graduates, Business Schools, and employers all recognise it as a gold standard.

In December 2021, the School was awarded Small Business Charter Accreditation in recognition of our commitment to supporting student entrepreneurship, small businesses, and the local economy. There are now only 54 business schools that hold the SBC Award in the UK and Ireland. QMS offers a wide range of opportunities for student engagement with local SMEs throughout our courses, and our range of consultancy projects and placements. We also offer local SMEs the opportunity to boost growth and enhance leadership with the William J Clinton Leadership Institute executive education courses. Furthermore, the School delivers innovation to Northern Irish businesses through our quality research, knowledge transfer partnerships and student consultancy projects.
QMS Accredited Degree Programmes
Many professional bodies offer examination exemptions from their professional qualifications to students who have studied accredited degree programmes. This ensures students can start their studies at a level that is consistent with the knowledge and skills gained from their degree programme. More information on QMS accredited programmes can found on the relevant course webpage.
