Corporate Responsibility Research (CRR) Conference
18th Corporate Responsibility Research Conference
22 – 23 September 2022 (with PhD workshop on afternoon of 21 September)
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
We are delighted to announce that conference registration is now open. You can register by clicking on the following link - The 18th Corporate Responsibility Research Conference 2022 (qub.ac.uk)
The CRR Conference is the longest running academic conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. The inaugural conference was held in Belfast, and so, the Centre for Leadership, Ethics and Organisation (CLEO) at Queen’s Management School, Belfast, is delighted to host the 18th edition of the conference (fully in-person) back in Belfast in September 2022. In association with ESCP Business School, Kedge Business School, and the Sustainability Research Institute at the University of Leeds, the conference promises to be a lively and relaxed environment within which to discuss, debate and reflect on ‘Where now for corporate responsibility research?’
We would be delighted if you were able to develop and share your ideas (both fully-fledged ideas and those that are more embryonic) and discuss your research findings, in the beautiful surroundings of Riddel Hall. We can’t promise you sunshine, but we can promise you a very warm welcome and many opportunities to network and engage with other researchers.
Please see below for Conference Theme, Developing and Submitting Abstracts and Conference Papers, Important Dates, Information on Fees and Registration, Information on Scholarships, the Pre-Conference Workshop, the Best Paper Award, and general information on the School, University and Belfast.
Please feel free to get in touch at crrconference2022@qub.ac.uk if you have any queries, or if we can help you in any way.
Conference Theme
Where now for Corporate Responsibility Research?
The theme of the conference reflects the significant changes that business, government and society have been experiencing over the last number of years. Global concerns such as climate change, the recent experiences of the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the power and potential of artificial intelligence, social justice and human rights continue to keep the leadership and behaviours of the public, private and third sectors in the spotlight. These concerns are reflected in the significant and growing body of research in corporate responsibility and sustainability with many powerful observations being made. The conference gives us an opportunity to reflect on what we know, to discuss our current research findings, both theoretical and empirical, and to explore where corporate responsibility research might lead us in the next 5-10 years.
We welcome both theoretical and empirical focused papers that reflect the diverse and eclectic nature of research in corporate responsibility and sustainability. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Business Ethics and Sustainability
- Corporate Responsibility and Managing Stakeholders
- Corporate Sustainability Performance, Integrated Reporting and Social Reporting
- Education for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
- Micro Level Corporate Responsibility
- International Corporate Responsibility
- Leadership and Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
- Sustainable Consumption
- Social Enterprises, Social Innovation and Sustainability
- Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability and the Natural Environment
- UN Sustainable Development Goals at national and organizational level
Please note that papers will not be accepted, or appear in the programme, unless speaker(s) have registered in full for the conference.
Final conference papers of approximately 6,000 words, including references, should be saved, preferably in PDF format, and emailed to crrconference2022@qub.ac.uk on or before 15 August 2022. The first page of the file should contain the title and the names, affiliations, and contact details for all authors. It would also be helpful to include 3-5 keywords. The remainder of the paper should be structured broadly following the same format as for the abstract. Citations in text and referencing should follow the Harvard style.
