Short placements are intended for A-Level students – we are unable to take younger School students.  Work shadowing or experience will be offered in the following areas as follows:

• Food Quality, Safety and Nutrition
• Biological Science
• Biochemistry
• Microbiology
• Marine Biology

It should be noted that if you wish to study Marine Biology this will be hosted in the Marine Laboratory in Portaferry not on the main site at 19 Chlorine Gardens, Belfast.

Please note that work shadowing opportunities are currently suspended and will resume once the current pandemic has passed and public health guidance allows for it.

We cannot accommodate all placement students due to the fact that our academics are extremely busy but if we can host a student who is interested in studying with us we will endeavour to do so.
