Diwali is a five-day festival of lights celebrated by millions of people across the world, marking the beginning of Hindu New Year. Diwali, which means the “row of lights”, also represents the victory of light over darkness, and good triumphing over evil. Diwali is not just about the lights and legends but it also is a joyous occasion to have fun with family and friends; and enjoy delicious feasts.

Diwali 2020 falls on Saturday 14 November this year, with the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Queen’s holding an online Diwali celebration a few days after this on Monday, 16th November 2020 from 1 to 2:30 pm, allowing you to celebrate the festival with your friends and colleagues.

Open to QUB staff and students, you're cordially invited to celebrate with us - please register using the "Book now" link over on the right!
