Within this position, Professor McStay will play a key role in the development and delivery of teaching to Chemical Engineering students in relation to topics such as technology management, entrepreneurship, and energy systems.

Professor McStay possesses a host of academic and industrial experience, which will allow him to greatly enhance students' training across a range of technical and business areas.

Speaking about his appointment, Professor McStay commented:

"I think the Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor Scheme is an important instrument in enhancing industry - university interaction and knowledge transfer and I am excited about the opportunity to share my industrial experiences, establish new contacts within the University, and hopefully contribute meaningful inputs to the Department in the areas of technology management, entrepreneurship, and energy systems."

Further, Professor Peter Robertson, Professor of Chemical Engineering at the School said?:

"The School was delighted, through the Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor Scheme, to be able to secure Danny McStay’s input to our technology management and entrepreneurship programme with our final year chemical engineering students. Danny has an impressive track record in taking technology from a basic concept, through to commercial development, and being able for him to share his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with the students and staff is a fantastic opportunity, which would have been very difficult to secure without the RAEng Visiting Professor Scheme."
