University Tutor Applications Now Open

University Tutors



Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to enable the School of Law to compile a register of Tutors.  A list of subject areas for which applications are invited is set out below:

  • European Constitutional Law
  • Constitutional Law in Context
  • Legal Methods and Skills
  • European Internal Market Law
  • Rights and Accountability
  • Criminal Law
  • Contract
  • Torts
  • Equity
  • Land Law
  • Evidence


The minimum essential criterion is a second-class Undergraduate Law degree (or equivalent) or a Postgraduate Law degree. Previous experience of Undergraduate Law teaching and study towards a research degree in Law are desirable.

Those who have previously been engaged as a University Tutor in the School of Law must re-apply to be considered for the academic year 2018/19.

Successful applicants will be fully responsible for the delivery of teaching and conduct of assessment to agreed standards.  They will be engaged under a contract for services and will not be employees of the University.
