QUB HRC Seminar Series: Malone House Group and Legacy in Northern Ireland

The Malone House Group is a Belfast-based, non-governmental organisation (NGO) dealing with Legacy issues arising from the Northern Ireland conflict. Its object is to find the best means to address the Past while preventing a re-occurrence of violence between the two communities in Northern Ireland. The Group is united in the view that the past should not become our future which it is in danger of doing and has expressed concerns regarding the implementation of the legacy proposals contained in the Stormont House Agreement.

In light of recent announcements by the Conservative Government on ways forward on dealing with the legacy of the past in Northern Ireland, the contribution of the Malone House Group to the Human Rights Centre Seminar Series comes at a very timely moment.

Mr Neil Faris: Stormont House Agreement - a failed legacy project
Mr Austen Morgan: Article 2: A Different View

Mr Neil Faris is a Belfast lawyer who has written extensively on legal defects in the Stormont House legacy plan.

Mr Austen Morgan (barrister and historian)
