'A NEW QUANTUM REVOLUTION: from Einstein's Questions to Quantum Information'

Eminent French physicist, Professor Alain Aspect, ForMemRS, of the Université Paris-Saclay, will deliver the keynote address entitled: ‘A New Quantum Revolution: from Einstein’s Questions to Quantum Information’.  He is the man whose experiments proved Bell’s Theorem correct and Albert Einstein wrong, with regard to quantum mechanics.

This lecture series is hosted by the Chief Executives’ Club at Queen’s and the Royal Irish Academy, and supported by the Queen’s School of Mathematics and Physics.

Pre-lecture refreshments will be served from 5.30pm in the First Derivatives Room on the second floor and the lecture will begin at 6.00pm sharp in lecture room 02.027.
