Dr Chiara's main research interests are in the field of quantum technologies and many-body systems.

More specifically, he is interested in genuine quantum correlations, for example entanglement and nonlocality, of many-body systems. Recently, he has also developed an interest in the area of quantum thermodynamics, with the aim of defining thermodynamic work for quantum systems and devise experiments to measure it. In this context, he is currently working on the design of thermal machines and refrigerators functioning under the laws of quantum theory.
