 Introduction to statistical software for applying the following topics in Operational Research and Statistical Methods:

Linear Programming: Characteristics of linear programming models, general form.

Decision Theory:

Random Sampling and Simulation:

Initial Data Analysis: Scales of measurement.

Statistical Methods: z test and t test of single means, means of differences (paired test), comparison of means and analysis of variance. Test of proportion(s), correlation coefficient, single  variances and comparison of two variances, regression analysis and nonparametric methods,

Statistical Quality Control: Process control. Shewhart control chart; upper and lower control limits, upper and lower warning limits. Analysis of patterns. Construction of a control chart for attributes, for variables: use of the range.
