Mechanical Engineering Student Receives Prestigious Caterpillar Scholarship

Fearghal Ryan, a Stage 2 MEng Mechanical Engineering student from Belfast has been awarded a prestigious Caterpillar Scholarship. Presented by Lorraine McAlinden, Facility Talent Development Consultant at Caterpillar (NI) Limited, the Scholarship will provide financial support as well as valuable mentoring opportunities and work placements, with the objective of helping the students achieve their full academic potential. Caterpillar Scholarships are funded by The Caterpillar Foundation. Founded in 1952, Caterpillar's philanthropic organization, the Caterpillar Foundation has contributed more than $650 million to help make sustainable progress possible around the world by providing program support in the areas of environmental sustainability, access to education and basic human needs.
