SMAE Student Matthew Bell in the Running for a Place on the Irish Hockey Team for Rio Olympics
SMAE student Matthew Bell has taken time out from his Meng Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Queens, to concentrate on the selection process for the Irish Hockey team which has qualified for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. This will be the first time in more than 100 years that an Irish hockey team has participated in an Olympic Games - an amazing achievement for all concerned! Already capped 28 times for Ireland, Matthew hopes that all of his hard work will pay off when the final squad is announced later in the summer. The School wishes Matthew the best of luck in his endeavours to make the road to Rio!!
