Pride in Men's Health: Promoting the Health of Men from the LGBTQ+ Community

A School of Nursing and Midwifery Gender Equality Seminar in celebration of Men's Health Week 2021, with Guest Speaker, Mark Dornan, Ulster University.

 

We were delighted to welcome recent QUB Nursing and Midwifery graduate Mark Dornan back to the School as our guest speaker for this seminar which focused on promoting the health of men from the LGBTQ+ community.  This virtual event was held as part of the School of Nursing and Midwifery’s series of Gender Equality Events for Men’s Health Week 2021.

ABOUT MARK DORNAN:
 
Mark is a Registered Nurse and PhD Researcher at Ulster University. His PhD research is in cancer survivorship with a focus on social eating for people living with and beyond head and neck cancer. A recent graduate of QUB School of Nursing and Midwifery, Mark has been a guest lecturer on the EBN module to share how research can inform and enhance practice and patient care.
 
Mark has research interests in primary health care and LGBTQ+ health.
