Project Description:

There is a major requirement for non-evasive imaging of objects using electromagnetic waves in order to avoid the use of X-rays and also to detect non-metallic objects. All bodies radiate millimetre wavelength energy which when collected through a suitable array of antennas can be used to form an image https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millimeter_wave_scanner

The purpose of this study is to create a low profile wideband antenna for use as a modular building block in the next generation of millimetre wave scanners.

The candidate will become proficient in antenna design and test
