NI Science Festival 2016 - GAP Post-Event Reports

Staff from the School of GAP organised 11 events across the two weeks of the Festival. Members of the public were afforded the opportunity to learn more about the diverse range of expertise across each discipline within the School, including forensic geology, historical geography, scientific archaeology, geospatial applications, palaeoecology, socioeconomic geography and more! Some 400 adults and children took part in events held within both the School and at the Ulster Museum. Thanks are due to GAP staff, who fully embraced the spirit of the Festival, and to the volunteers whose support helped ensure the success of the various events. We look forward to future involvement with the NI Science Festival as it continues to grow from strength to strength and feed the public appetite for science in all of its exciting and diverse forms!
