Outline and Brief Biography:
My PhD is part of the Leverhulme Interdisciplinary Network on Cybersecurity and Society (LINCS) programme under the supervision of Dr Muiris MacCarthaigh from the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics and Dr Deepak Padmanabhan from the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
My research is shaped around the LINCS theme of Cyberspace, Privacy and Data Protection. In particular the challenges faced by Governments in regulating the use of Big Data.
I have a MSc in Information Capability Management (2014) and BEng (Hons) in Software Engineering (2003) both from Cranfield University. My MSc research project was entitled 'A Design Science Research Approach to Support Evidence Based Decision-Making through the adoption of Semantic Technologies and Data Governance'.
I am delighted to be returning to Academia to embark on my PhD Research journey following a varied 16 year career in the Public Sector.
