Alumni: Where are they now
Dr Raymond’s research examines the myriad functions of political parties. His research draws on social cleavage theory to understand, on the one hand, how voters identify with political parties and why they vote for these parties over the alternatives, and on the other, how political parties represent particular groups and their interests in legislatures.
This leads him to study political parties in parliaments, in elections, and in the minds of voters.
