Professor Cliff Taggart has 20 years+ experience in the area of respiratory disease with an interest in dysregulated protease activity in acute and chronic lung disease and its role in excessive inflammation and infection.

Prof Taggart was appointed to the Chair of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology at Queen’s in 2007 and his research is funded by MRC, EPSRC and CFF. He has previously supervised 15 PhD and 4 MD students to completion.
