Another great year for our National Student Survey (NSS) results
We were delighted to receive the National Student Survey (NSS) results for 2018, where we are ranked 27th for overall satisfaction out of 130 Psychology institutions.
The NSS is an annual survey which gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses. Every UK University takes part in the NSS as well as some colleges and alternative education partners (413 in total). The survey response rate was 70% this year (or 320,864 student responses)
Our School exceeded the average score for Queens, for all NI institutes and for UK Psychology departments in teaching, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, organisation and management, learning resources, and overall satisfaction.
We are also in the top quartile for UK institutions in teaching, assessment and feedback, organisation and management, learning resources, and overall satisfaction.
Dr Martin Dempster, our Director of Education said: “This is an excellent set of results that reflects the commitment of staff to ensuring that our students have a first-class educational experience. The student responses on the NSS are a consequence of much hard work by staff in the School to engage students in our teaching and tutoring and to work with students to improve the quality of our educational provision on an ongoing basis.”
