Considering BSc Psychology at Queens?
Opportunities to meet us
We have a number of upcoming events in February and March 2020 - please see the full list here.
Below are some further resources that we hope you will find useful.
Saturday 1st February 2020
Applicant Day for Undergraduate entry in September 2020
Thank you for applying to the School of Psychology for September 2020 entry. Please join us for our Applicant Day on Saturday 1st February 2020.
Please join us for a talk and tour of our facilities with a separate session for Parents. Both are scheduled so that you will be able to attend one following the other should you wish to do so. It does not matter in which order you attend these but note that numbers on tours are limited. There will also be the opportunity to informally meet and chat with current staff and students and light refreshments will be available in the School during the day.
Note that the Psychology events are part of an Applicant Day organised by the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) which includes a talk from the Admissions Service at Queens. For more information and to register please click here.
Any questions, please get in touch at email@example.com
Repeated at 1pm and 2:30pm our talk will include
- What is Psychology?
- Why Psychology at Queens?
- Student perspective
- Student experience panel - Q+A with a group of our current students
- A taste of Psychology with Dr Tim Fosker
We expect the talk to last approximately 1 hour.
All applicants and their families very welcome.
Tour of Facilities and Session for Parents
Also repeated at 1pm and 2:30pm our student-led tours will include a range of the teaching and research facilities available to our students in the School.
We expect the tour to last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
29 January update
Note due to the large numbers who have registered for our Applicant Day and the limited space in some of our rooms, we have unfortunately had to restrict our tours to applicants only.
We have therefore arranged a Session for Parents while applicants are on the tours. These informal sessions will be led by our Deputy Head of School, Professor Aidan Feeney. Light refreshments will be served and there will be the opportunity to hear about careers options, pastoral care of our students and other issues. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and chat with our staff and students.
All Psychology events will take place in the David Keir Building which can be accessed from either the Malone Road or Stranmillis Road (see ). Please use the Stranmillis Road entrance for the talk and the Malone Road entrance for the tour and Session for Parents. Student guides will be available to help you get from one location to the other throughout the day.
