Debates on Europe: Belfast 2019

This year, for the first time Debates on Europe makes a stop in the West. In speeches, panel discussions and readings, themes of borders and conflict will be explored from both the local and a European perspective.

Join us at Queen's University Belfast on the weekend of 13-15 September to discuss borders, conflict and Europe. 

Confirmed speakers include Fintan O'Toole, Katy Hayward, Basil Kerski, Jan Carson, Dubravka Stojanović, Andy Pollak, Garrett Carr, Susan McKay, Marius Ivaškevičius and Paul Bew.

Debates on Europe is a series of events organised by the S. Fischer Foundation and the German Academy for Language and Literature in cooperation with local partners across Europe, providing a space for free and open exchange of views on what Europe is and what it could be.
