Join us for a poetry performance by William Keohane and Padraig Regan as they present new work inspired by 'Collage: a political act' at Ulster Museum.
‘Infants begin to see by noticing the edges of things’ — Anne Carson, Eros the Bittersweet.
Edges are what structure the world. The boundaries between self and other, between one thing are the next are the most fundamental building blocks of thought. Collage, too, is all about edges. In collage, meaning rests in the edges between images or between the image and its context.
In this event, William Keohane and Padraig Regan will present new work inspired by Collage: A Political Act at the Ulster Museum, expanding the logic of collage to explore edges of various kinds: between regions of the past, between bodies and within the body, and between the words we use to make sense of the world.
This is a non-ticketed event and will take place in the Spotlight gallery on the 4th floor. Please ask a member of staff to direct you from the atrium.
