Marian Keyes is the international bestselling author of fourteen novels including Watermelon, Rachel's Holiday, Sushi for Beginners, This Charming Man, and The Break. With a chatty conversational style and whimsical Irish humour, but themes including alcoholism, depression, addiction, cancer, bereavement, and domestic violence her novels have sold over 40 million copies worldwide and been translated into 36 languages.

Marian's latest novel, Grown Ups, was published by Penguin in February 2020.

'Magnificently messy lives, brilliantly untangled. Funny, tender and completely absorbing!' GRAHAM NORTON

'SUCH a treat. Like reading the cleverest cream cake of words'
CAITLIN MORAN

'Comic, convincing and true. Grown Ups has an almost Austenesque insight into character. Keyes knows how to make serious issues relatable - and get a few grownup laughs, too' GUARDIAN

'Superb. Warm-hearted, wise and highly entertaining' OBSERVER

Louise Kennedy is one of the inaugural Ciaran Carson Fellows. Her fiction has appeared in numerous journals, her food writing appears in The Guardian and Irish Times, and her scripts on BBC Radio 4 and RTE Radio 1. Bloomsbury will publish her debut collection, The End of the World is a Cul de Sac, in April 2021.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the novel in a live Q&A session.
