Each week the group will share a new text where a city, in some form, plays an important role. 

We'll share works by authors such as Virginia Woolf, James Baldwin, Joan Didion, George Perec, Suketu Mehta, and Ciaran Carson. Students are welcome to bring their own suggestions of texts to the group. 

Tara McEvoy co-founded and edits The Tangerine, a Belfast-based magazine of new writing. Her writing has appeared in the Times Literary Supplement, Vogue, the Observer, the Guardian, Poetry London, 3:AM, The Wire, Frieze, and The Stinging Fly, among other publications. She graduated from Queen's with a PhD in December 2020, and subsequently worked as a press officer for Pushkin Press. She is currently a Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin.
