With our regular nights in the Crescent Arts Centre on hold, we're taking the show online for a virtual get-together, with special guests Joe Holtaway and Robyn Hitchcock.
Featuring poetry, prose, and song from far-flung Fellows and friends, joining us from New York, Trinidad, Nashville, and even east Belfast.
HELP! is hosted by Glenn Patterson, director of the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s. Our lineup features new and revisited poetry and prose from Nick Laird, Lucy Caldwell, Vahni Capildeo, Susannah Dickey, Leontia Flynn and Stephen Sexton.
With a special contribution from Robyn Hitchock, also premiering a short film and original song by Joe Holtaway, in collaboration with Southwark Day Care Centre for Asylum Seekers and ConsciousFilmCo.
For the full SHC Presents experience, find us on Spotify for another of Michael Staley's themed playlists.
Under normal circumstances, these nights are an opportunity to showcase the writing that goes on in the Heaney Centre, and provide students with a (strictly time limited!) space to experiment and reach new audiences. Each night features an expert or enthusiast from outside the literary world.
