The Open Ear
Started in 2011 by PhD students, The Open Ear publishes new work by the students, staff and alumni of Queen's University Belfast. The editorial team selects work by both new and established writers, from across disciplines.
The Open Ear remains a student-led publication, supported by the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen's.

The Open Ear editors seek new, compelling writing by QUB students, alumni, and staff for the next issue of The Open Ear.
Fiction or Creative non-fiction: 1 piece per submission - max 2,000 words
Poetry: 6 poems per submission - max of 40 lines
(We also welcome submissions outside these genres)
