The Blackbird Anthology 2022

Blackbird: an anthology of new writing from the Seamus Heaney Centreat Queen's
Guest editors: Denise Riley and Wendy Erskine
Published in print and online, Oct 2022
 
Blackbird is an anthology of writing from the MA programmes in Poetry and Creative Writing at the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen's. The anthology, which will be published in print and online e-book in autumn 2022, aims to showcase some of the best work by our current student writers.
 
The selection of work this year will be made by our guest editors, Seamus Heaney Centre Fellows Denise Riley and Wendy Erskine – if you are a student on one of the MA programmes, Denise and Wendy would love to receive your poems, short stories, novel extracts and creative non-fiction. 
Call for Submissions
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS - THU 30 JUN 2022
If you are a current student (class of 2022) on the MA in Poetry OR the MA in Creative Writing at Queen's:
- Please submit 4-5 poems OR up to 2500 words of prose
- Send to shc@qub.ac.uk, with the suject line BLACKBIRD SUBMISSION
- Please indicate whether your work is poetry or prose, and attach as a Word document.
