SSESW colleague is a founding member of UK Trauma Council

SSESW colleague Michael Duffy has been invited to become a founding member of the newly formed UK Trauma Council, a cross-disciplinary leadership group tasked with supporting and guiding the creation, development and dissemination of trauma resources, guidance, policy and training. It supports collaboration across a broad interdisciplinary group of experts, to ensure children and young people receive help following trauma.

The Council is hosted by the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (https://www.annafreud.org). Members are drawn from a range of disciplines and sectors including research, clinical practice, education, social care, policy and emergency services. Like Michael Duffy, members are recognised experts in their respective fields and are drawn from across the four nations of the UK in recognition of the varied contexts and jurisdictions.
