Following their short course at Queen's University this month, senior academics from Lanzhou University presented the University with a 10 metre calligraphy book, painted live in the Graduate School by renowned artist Professor Jianxin Xu. The delegation from Lanzhou University attended a two-week programme on Educational Leadership and the Internationalization of Higher Education organized by the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work. Through a series of lectures, workshops and group presentations, the programme enhanced participants’ understanding of educational leadership and the challenges faced in contemporary higher educational institutions with regard to internationalization. During their visit to Queens, the delegation from Lanzhou University also engaged with a number of colleagues across the three faculties on future research and teaching collaborations.
