As part of the Development Weeks programme we are inviting employers to host short internships over a 1–3 week period sometime during the period of 18 May to 11 September 2020. These internships could include anything from HR, communications, marketing and research to shadowing one of your managers or project co-ordinators or helping to review and update social media and news stories.
Short 1-3 week internships are a great way to introduce students to your organisation, possible roles and what it would be like to work with you. It is an excellent tool in the strive for the early identification of talent. There is no expectation for employers to pay the students during the internships and you are in full control of selection process. We will also provide indemnity insurance during their time with you.
Upload your internships to MyFuture, with QUBDW in the role title, by end of February to ensure they are included in the main recruitment drive to students. My Future Registration Link
Our recommended method of application is by CV and cover letter, this can be facilitated by upload to MyFuture. You may of course use your own online method
You are in full control of the shortlist and selection process but we ask that this is completed by end of March so the successful know before the exam period
The students will complete their internships with you at some stage from 18 May to 11 September
Specifically for Community, Voluntary and Social Enterprise Organisations, this Information and Resource Pack contains the Development Weeks information leaflet with key dates, a process flowchart with links to relevant forms etc and some sample internship role descriptions that you may use as a template when uploading to MyFuture.Download our Information and Resource Pack
