Staying at Queen's
Information about student accommodation at Queen's and how to apply is available from the Accommodation website. These web pages will guide you through your options for living in Belfast and to make sure you know what you need to do in order to arrange your accommodation.
International applicants will be allocated a place when they are accepted onto a course at Queen’s and meet the conditions of the Allocation Policy which is available to read in full on the Accommodation website.
Information regarding Queen’s Accommodation will be available online from May 2018 at http://www.qub.ac.uk/accommodation/ together with details of how and when you can apply online. It is recommended that you submit your application before 1 August.
It is provisionally anticipated that student accommodation will be available from 15 September 2018 or during the previous week if you are attending the Orientation Programme for International Students.
For advice and guidance regarding accommodation outside of the University’s ownership, such as private landlords, deposits, repairs, checking leases and contracts, please contact the Students’ Union – email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.

A beautiful part of Belfast
The main University campus is situated within three designated conservation areas, making walking or cycling around the area a very pleasant experience.
Within walking distance of Queen’s are numerous shops, cafés and restaurants, Botanic Gardens, the Ulster Museum, the Grand Opera House and the Lyric Theatre, the Physical Education Centre and many other useful facilities.
Contemporary apartments for the modern postgraduate
Willow Walk is purpose built accommodation ideally suited to postgraduate students located on the perimeter of Elms BT9, just 15 minutes from the main campus.
The accommodation offers a mix of studio and 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments each with a modern contemporary design and level of finish. Students benefit from the advantages of the University managing and supporting their living needs including a residential life programme, safety and security and maintenance.
A private atmosphere in a village community
Each apartment in Willow Walk has its own external front door and access is via the main Elms BT9 entrance where the safety team are on duty 24/7.
There is a flexible guest policy for Willow Walk, especially if you have a family member visiting.
A more independent lifestyle
Mount Charles has been extensively refurbished to address the needs of postgraduate students.
Each house is shared by 7–8 students and typically there are two large kitchens with bathrooms/showers on each floor.

It is close to the Queen’s campus and McClay library as well as the bustling social hub of Botanic Avenue.
There is a range of room types from premium double rooms (for single occupancy) which have larger storage and work spaces. In some properties there are limited twin rooms designed for two students and you can apply to share with a friend/family member of the same sex.
