This year we are very keen to grow the membership of the University's Staff LGBT+ Network (PRISM) and to get involved in a lot more activity both on and off campus.
This network has recently become much more active but unfortunately, current membership is very low.
The staff network is a friendly, informal way to meet with LGBT+ colleagues at the University and discuss ideas to get involved in workplace activities - both formal and informal.
We are particularly keen to start developing relationships with other employers who have established LGBT+ Networks in the Greater Belfast Area. To help with that, the University has joined Diversity Champions NI - a network of LGBT+ friendly employers.
This includes employers such as Belfast City Council, Allen and Overy, Pinsent Masons, Concentrix, Allstate, EY, Lloyds Banking Group, Public Health Agency, CPL Recruitment, Marie Curie and the PSNI.

Please indicate on your email whether you would like to be invited to a) forthcoming meetings of the Network and/or b) events organised by the Network.
As we are trying to grow the membership of the Staff LGBT+ Network, we would encourage contact from any staff who identify as belonging to the LGBT+ community. Moreover, if a member of LGBT+ staff has any difficulties in arranging to attend a PRISM meeting, they are strongly encouraged to contact the Chairpersons - Richard Robinson and/or Sally Bridge - for assistance and support
