Are you passionate about the making a positive impact on our environment and delivering projects which will make a real difference

The Sustainability team led by Sara Lynch drive the University’s sustainability direction for the institution and supports the Estates Directorate in delivering a first-class estate that enhances the student experience and embeds sustainability practices across all activities. 

The team are responsible for developing and delivering the University's pathway to Net Zero and will play a key role in delivering Strategy 2030 commitments to embracing the Sustainable Development Goals across our University community. 

Over the coming months we will be developing our Climate Strategy and Sustainable Travel Strategy, a critical part of the University's response to the climate crisis.

This is an exciting time to join our University Sustainability team and play a key role in shaping the next stage of our sustainability journey.

Colm Lavery Estates Development

Are you passionate about the quality of our built assets and love to get a real sense of achievement from delivering legacy projects?

We, in the Estates Development Division led by Colm Lavery cover all aspects of project delivery associated with the University’s Capital Programme that enhance the experience of all students and staff. We have over 250 buildings at Queen’s, 100 of which are listed. We have delivered over £350M of capital delivery over the last 10 years with an even bigger projected spend over the next 10 years, delivering our sustainable development goals for our community. 

We are also currently rolling out a Digital Transformation programme, so you will have the ability to influence our service offering ensuring we are purpose ready for the delivery of our next Estate Strategy 2022-2032. No Better time to Join!!!

The Queen's University’s estate is one of its most valuable assets, second only to its staff and students, and it is essential that we provide a high quality sustainable physical environment that is properly managed, ensures value for money, and can support the University's Corporate Plan objectives.

We, in the Estates Planning Division led by Allan Munro cover all aspects of project delivery associated with the University’s Capital Programme that enhance the experience of all students and staff. We have over 250 buildings at Queen’s, of which over 100 have Listed Status. We have delivered over £350M of capital delivery in the last 10 years with continued substantial commitment projected for the next 10, delivering our sustainable development goals for our community.
