Management/Commercial Accountants

About the Role: You will join a team who is responsible for providing provide a comprehensive, professional financial management service to Directors in Professional Services, Pro-Vice Chancellors and Directors of Operations within Faculties, and Project leads for the BRCD projects. Your role will be to produce timely business critical information and analysis, including Financial Operating Plans assist accurate decision making, risk assessment, planning and to provide rapid response trouble shooting when necessary.
About You: As a qualified, experienced accountant you should enjoy working within a team with the opportunity to contribute to the development of its delivery of proactive business partnering with key stakeholders internal and external to the University. You will have technical accounting knowledge including knowledge of relevant accounting standards and sector best practice, a familiarity with complex finance systems, commercial awareness and data analytical/digital skills.

- Financial and Risk Accountant

About the Role: you will provide a comprehensive and professional financial accounting service within the University’s Finance Directorate. This includes leading and developing financial accounting services in respect of the University and its subsidiaries and the provision of guidance and support in relation to the University’s risk management, audit and financial governance arrangements.

Finance Training & Relationship Manager (Part time)

About the Role: This 0.6FTE role is available for 2 years in the first instance and will lead in the delivery and development of the Finance Training Programme for all University staff at all levels, ensuring appropriate linkages are embedded between training materials and financial policies and procedures.

- Data Analyst

About the Role: You will work as part of a small team to assist in the analysis, development and submission of information required for the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). You will undertake business analysis work in planning for the new style return, as well as data analysis work in preparing and submitting data to HESA. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to corporate reporting and planning office roles more generally including the presentation of management information and engaging with performance analysis.
About You: You will have strong data management skills alongside experience of business analysis, data analysis, quality assurance and strong communication skills. You must be a clear thinker with a good eye for detail, and have the ability to assimilate, manipulate, and interpret complex data from different sources.

- Senior Procurement Manager - Sustainability lead

About the Role: This procurement role directly contributes to progressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals with a focus on carbon reduction, it is a key enabler on the journey towards net-zero carbon emissions, with direct and impactful action through procurement. The role links into the Sustainability Team to implement plans and projects across the University to meet institutional objectives and targets. The role ensures delivery of professional procurement services which places contracts with value for money and sustainability at the core.
