Year end invoicing arrangements

In order to facilitate the year end process, please note the following arrangements for raising invoices to customers for trading and sundry activities carried out prior to 31 July 2013.

  • Up to 22 July 2013
    As far as possible all invoices and invoice requisitions relating to activities completed, or due to be completed, prior to 31 July 2013 should be forwarded to the OSR section of Finance on or before 22 July 2013 to ensure full inclusion in the 2012-13 year end accounts.

  • After 22 July 2013
    Invoices and invoice requisitions forwarded after 22 July 2013, but relating to the 2012-13 year (i.e. period up to 31 July 2013), should be clearly marked as relating to 2012-13. These invoices will be processed in August 2013 and, where material, manual adjustments made by the OSR section of Finance to the 2012-13 accounts. All invoices relating to the 2012-13 year must be received by Friday 16 August 2013.

Reduction in electricity consumption

During the past quarter (1 February - 30 April), we reduced our electricity consumption by 3.8% compared to 2012. This resulted in savings of 184 tonnes of carbon and £46,000.

Nineteen out of 28 Operational Units managed to reduce their overall electricity consumption during the quarter with 14 of them exceeding their targets.

Senior Managers have been issued with a breakdown for their individual areas.
