Come along and collaborate with dynamic speakers talking about the needs of asylum seekers and refugees and their families, and how social workers can contribute to social justice and develop anti-racist practice.
Contributors to the event include: Dr Colletta Dalikeni, Dundalk Institute of Technology, author of 'Child Protection Social Workers and Asylum-Seeking Families in Ireland: Issues of Culture, Race, Power Relations, and Mistrust'; Rosie Graves, Children's Social Worker from 'Social Work Action Network'; and Dr Maria Pentaraki, Lecturer in Sociology & Social Work, Queen's University.
