In this globalised era, language is an essential tool to thrive in the world of work, and language plus cultural experts are highly valued by all kinds of organisations around the globe. This event is for bilingual or multilingual students who have the potential of and are considering maximising the benefits of speaking more than one language.
This session is open to all students at Queen’s who are interested in pursuing a career as translators and/or intercultural project managers.
For instance, bilingual students who are from the school of Business and have specialized knowledge in their field may manage translation projects if required by their employers. So this 5-hour activity provides you an opportunity to learn something about regulations, qualifications, and real-life experience in the translation industry.
You are also able to roleplay as a client, translator, or project manager in the training session and practice your skills. Feedback will be given by our professional translators and interpreters.
Lunch included!
