HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO ORGANISE AND HOST YOUR OWN DEVELOPMENT WEEKS EVENT?

Maybe you are part of a club or society and you want to show off your skills or maybe you want to assemble a crack team to take on a challenge or project. 

Whatever your event style, if you can dream it, Development Weeks can help you deliver it.

You’ll build in-demand skills including teamworking and project management.

What’s more, you could receive funding to support it!

Who can avail of the Student Led Activity Fund?

Students please note that the application deadline for Development Weeks Student Led Activity Fund for 2022 is now closed

The Student Led Activity Fund (SLAF) is available to small groups of students (both UG and PG) who create and deliver activities or events outside of their academic studies for other students during Development Weeks (23 May - 2 June, 2022)

If your funding application is accepted, you’ll be eligible to apply for DegreePlus through the Provider Verified (Formerly Route A) route – bonus!

maximum of £400 is available to groups running an in-person event (Covid restrictions permitting) and £150 for online events.

Application window: Applications will open on 31st January 2022 and close at the new deadline of 5.00pm on Thursday 17 March 2022.

So, You Have Event Funding, Now What?

Access support to deliver an epic event  - 5 and 7 April 2022 

If you have successfully applied for the Student Led Activity Fund (SLAF) to deliver your Development Weeks event, then congratulations! 

You have taken the first step towards building up in-demand skills including team working, project management and budgeting skills.

Now it’s time to start planning! 

We want to support you to make your event the best that it can be.  

You will be invited to join one of our upcoming Student Led Activity Fund (SLAF) Successful Applicants’ Information Sessions, and chat with the Development Weeks team on how to plan and run your event.  

Only those applicants who have been successful in their application to the Student Led Activity Fund funding will be personally invited to one of the events below.

SLAF Successful Applicants Drop In Session Dates (Invitation only)

5 April 3.00pm – 4.00pm 

7 April 12.30pm – 1.30pm
