Aimed at teachers and teaching assistants, this workshop will focus on the need to teach thinking skills more explicitly than we normally do in classrooms. Techniques for infusing thinking into lesson design and classroom practices will be demonstrated. The workshop will be closely aligned to the Northern Ireland Curriculum Framework for Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities (TSPC).

Carol McGuinness is a Professor in the School of Education, Queen’s University. Her area of expertise is cognition, development and education.
