Library Resource Trial - BrowZine

The AFBI Library has arranged trial access to BrowZine from Monday 21st January until Monday 18th February.

BrowZine is an online resource that enables browsing, reading and monitoring of AFBI Library's journal subscription content in a user-friendly format, either through the BrowZine website or via a mobile app.

The main features of BrowZine include the ability to: 

  •          Search for journals by title, ISSN or subject term.
  •          Browse all journal collections in the one user friendly view.
  •          Create bookshelves for your favourite journal titles.
  •          View the table of contents, and read or save articles as new issues are released.
  •          Share articles on social media or export citations.

 

To take a look at BrowZine, please follow these steps: 

1. Access BrowZine: 

a) From Chrome/FireFox/Internet Explorer go to: 

https://browzine.com/libraries/1773/
 

b) From a mobile device:

Download BrowZine: From your Android, iOS or Kindle Fire device, visit the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Amazon App Store. Search for “BrowZine” and download the app to your device. (If you have previously been using BrowZine with the Open Access library, please delete the app and reinstall it.)

  

2. Open BrowZine:

a) The web page will take you directly to AFBI Library's journal collections. You will then need to enter your AFBI Library credentials to access any full text content. 

b) If using the the app, click ‘choose library’ - a list of libraries will appear. Please select Agrifood and Biosciences Institute.  You will then be prompted for your AFBI Library credentials.

 

3. Start browsing:

Use the subject dropdown menu to browse by subject categories or 'Titles A-Z' to find a specific title by name.

 

4. Create an account(optional) 

In order to track your favourite journals or save articles for reading later, go to https://browzine.com/auth/signup .  Your favourite journals and articles are then synced across both web and mobile versions of BrowZine.
