As part of the Main Site Masterplan, the former Library Tower is being redeveloped as a new home for the School of Law. The refurbished Tower will be integrated with the Peter Froggatt Centre (PFC), creating a single building and providing a vibrant social hub at the heart of the campus.
CONSOLIDATION OF MATHS AND PHYSICS
The refurbishment of the Old Physics building, completed in December 2014, was the first phase in the consolidation and integration of the School of Mathematics and Physics (MAP) accommodation. Phase 2, completing in Spring 2016, is the creation of a MAP Teaching Centre in the former International and Postgraduate Student Centre. This will be followed by the upgrading of New Physics (Phase 3), starting in July 2016.
These moves will free up space in the David Bates Building for expansion of the McClay Library.
