If you are from one of the countries listed above and Police Registration is a condition of your visa, you will require a Police Registration Certificate. If you are required to register, the condition is likely to be printed on your UK Entry Clearance Vignette (yellow sticker in your passport). Alternatively, if you have been granted leave to remain following an application made in the UK, it may be printed on your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP). If you completed a paper-based immigration application form (rather than an online one) the condition will be included in your letter from the Home Office and not on your visa. If in doubt, please contact isscompliance@qub.ac.uk.

How do I Register?

Police Registrations have now finished on the Queen’s campus and will resume across October and November 2022. Please note that you do not need to register within 7 days of arriving on campus. We have a special arrangement in place with the Police and will touch with you nearer to the time inviting you to book an appointment.

If you require a completely new Police Registration certificate before this, you can obtain one at the Strand Road Police Station in Derry/Londonderry. Alternatively, you can call the below telephone number or send an email and the Lisburn Road Police Station will arrange to see students in small groups or personally in emergencies:

Please cite your full name and preferred contact email address & telephone number.

* Please note if you need to make a change to your current Police Registration certificate you will not need to pay for a new one. This can simply be updated at your local Police station. Details on how to do this can be viewed under the 'Registration Certificate Updates' section below.
