Airport Meet & Greet
Airport Arrivals Process
This video will outline the step-by-step process that you can expect as a new or returning international student to Queen's University.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Queen’s University Belfast.
Queen’s will provide new international students with an airport pick-up service to transfer you to University accommodation. The service will run from Belfast City Airport (BHD) and Belfast International Airport (BFS) on the following dates:
- Friday 10 and Saturday 11 September 2021
- Friday 17 and Saturday 18 September 2021
- Friday 24 and Saturday 25 September 2021
If you are travelling outside of these dates, you will need to make your own way from the airport. This is very easy to do from both airports (Belfast City and Belfast International). We recommend taking a taxi, as this way your driver can take you exactly where you need to go. Click here for more information on transport options from the airports.

Please note that seats on coaches are limited and may book up quickly.
You will need to book your seat as early as possible and no later than 72 hours before your flight.
The airport pick-up coach will depart at fixed times. Please select a coach which leaves at least 45 minutes after your scheduled arrival time to allow enough time to collect your luggage and make your way to the pick-up point. You may need to wait a short time for the next scheduled coach.
THE COACH JOURNEY
Drop-off points will include Queen’s Elms Accommodation at BT1, BT2 and BT9. There will also be a private accommodation drop-off at Elmwood Hall, which is on the main site. If you are not staying in University accommodation, you can still take the coach to BT1, BT2 or BT9 and book an onward taxi from there. See information on Belfast taxi companies here.
There is limited space available on the airport collection coaches. You should bring no more than two suitcases and one small item of hand luggage.
Please note that coach times are based on current flight arrival times at both airports. These flight times may be subject to changes or delays outside of the University’s control.
COVID-19 TRAVEL GUIDANCE
Under NI Government Guidelines, the use of face coverings in certain indoor settings is mandatory in Northern Ireland. You must also wear a face covering on public transport. You will not be allowed to board the coach without a face covering.
