Mindfulness has been shown to have numerous benefits in helping us to lead balanced and healthy lifestyles. It allows us to be present in the moment, to understand what is going on around us, and to exclude the unnecessary stressors which tend to dominate our psyche.
Sometimes, people are not sure where to begin with mindfulness – the reason why it is called mindfulness ‘practice’ is because that’s what it requires – practice – on an ongoing basis. Like any skill, the more you practice, the better you will become, and the more comfortable you will feel when it becomes part of your routine.
So invest some time in learning the basics, carry an open mind, and discover how it can apply real benefits to your life and to your mental wellbeing.
