Copyright for supervisors

Event Description

Are you a PGR supervisor? Confused about copyright? This is designated, condensed training for those who supervise Postgraduate Research (PGR) students who wish to gain an understanding of copyright and how it applies to your student's e-thesis. Note that all PGR students have to now upload an electronic version of their thesis to Pure upon submission. This has significant implications for copyright.

This course will make supervisors aware of Queen's requirements for e-thesis submissions and the copyright implications for this

The training will include:

  • Defining copyright
  • Outlining the university's requirement for e-thesis
  • Explaining the concept of fair dealing
  • Outlining the process of seeking permission for copyright

If you are a supervisor of a PGR student, it is recommended you attend.
